![]() ![]() I had another client who endlessly persisted in sending images he had simply grabbed off Google, Flickr or other websites and that became very tiresome having to explain a dozen times in writing that stealing images from the internet is a dumb idea. I documented it all at the time and later swapped them out for images from Shutterstock after explaining the potential issues. Not only did it take up many hours of my time for no financial gain, it also left me worried about exactly this kind of thing. I used Unsplash on one website early on, because the client was sending me horrendous images taken with her iPad and too cheap to spend a few dollars on licensed images. Safari Developer Tools - troubleshooting and general nosiness.Sip - colour palette organiser - not so much now.Fontbase - used to preview fonts side by side for easier selection.ImageOptim - quick but effective bulk image optimisation for web.Yummy FTP Pro - less nowadays - sadly on the way out.Forklift FTP - solid FTP choice used daily.Fontanello - easy means of identifying fonts used on websites.Fontplop - fantastic little app for web font creation.Logoist 3 - OK for simple client logos but dodgy file exports and non existent support.Maya - not personally, but used by the girl who handles animation.iMovie - sometimes for websites - video work is an area set for expansion.Lightroom 5.7.1 - hoping Affinity produce a suitable alternative soon.Photoshop CS6 - 20+ years but the end is nigh.Affinity Design - recent purchase - much to learn.Affinity Publisher - recent purchase - very impressed. ![]() Affinity Photo - recent purchase - moving away from Photoshop.Markdown Editor - rarely, but can save time on long lists etc.BBEdit - occasionally when editing code for metadata etc. ![]()
